Spring has sprung…and not a minute too soon! April’s weather was less than wonderful and consequently, stunted my energy. Thankfully, Mother Nature seems back on track and the woods are starting to show signs of new life. Despite the unseasonable temperatures, I tried to make the most of April. I scheduled a few book events for summer (see Events tab) and submitted The Tale of the Disappearing Tail to several book awards. A few weeks ago, we found out we placed 2nd in the 2025 BookFest Awards. Not too shabby!
Mid-month, we escaped the Michigan weather and spent a long weekend in Los Angeles, visiting my son and his fiancĂ©. I love LA and we had a great time checking out Venice Beach and The Huntington Botanical Gardens. Time goes too quickly when we’re there, but our next trip will be here before we know it… I can already hear the wedding bells.
I’ll try to stay focused in May and do my best to keep you all up to date. Thanks for reading along and feel free to let me know if you have any questions in the comments. I’ll do my best to answer!
Happy Spring!
